What is Live Wedding Painting?
Live wedding painting is the craft of bringing a unique and personal artwork to life right before your eyes.
It’s like combining the magic of a Bob Ross episode with the elegance of royal portraiture — all while vibing to a fire playlist!
When your painting is created by an artist who takes the time to understand your story and truly cares about capturing your special day, the result is a heartwarming, personalised keepsake. Your guests will love watching the painting come to life, and you'll treasure the emotions it reflects for years to come.

I paint portraits of people & pets, still life and landscapes. Paintings from my own imagination of mythical fairytales when I can, too! I love to explore traditional oil painting techniques as well as impressionistic styles.
A wedding painting will include a representation of the happy couple, typically in the scenery of their big day. We’ll discuss how your painting can best reflect you and your story. -
All I need is a space to set up near a power outlet for my lights. Minimum 2m x 2m, somewhere that will not obstruct guests, staff or vendors. If outdoors, I will need a shaded area to work such as an umbrella or marquee. The event of rain will require an indoor space.
If you generously offer to cater for a meal, I’d love a vegetarian option! -
Yes absolutely. Some couples chose a moment at the altar, or first look or aisle exit.
I recommend early in the day where possible. So that I can have the most on the canvas by the end of the night for you to see and be a part of. If you choose a moment from later in the day, it can still be painted but there will simply be less completed by the end of the reception. All the magic can still happen in studio!
We’ll discuss all your vision and requests in the design consultation.
Or book a 15 minute call to discuss before booking. -
I aim to spend 2-4 weeks on the artwork, depending on requests. The paint needs to dry between layers and have a finishing layer of varnish added when the paint is fully cured. The final piece will be completed and ready to make its way to you within 8-12 weeks.
-
I take the painting back to my studio for details and touch ups. When the paint is dry, it will be varnished before being shipped or picked up.
-
Absolutely! This is YOUR painting. I offer options to include your pets, family members and framing to the artwork.
-
I can invite guests to contribute some brushstrokes to the painting during live bookings. It can be such a wonderful way to make the guests feel that they are a part of the memory being created, and knowing some extra love is going into the painting too!
The guests may be invited to paint some leaves, flowers, or loose brushwork for details.
Guests are invited to paint by the discretion of the artist to preserve the safety of the painting. Guests who display disorderly conduct will not be permitted to contribute to the painting. -
Currently I am only accepting bookings within Australia. Travel within 50km of my studio is included in your package. Additional distances may incur a small travel fee.
-
Absolutely! That's what the Glass Slipper Package is for. I can create your painting from photos of your wedding. Subject to availability.
